Senior Accountant Position at EBR

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at EBR, a fast-growing modern CA firm located in the Sydney CBD. This is a full-time position for a senior arising from growth within the firm.

About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform a wide range of tasks, including preparing income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, sole traders, companies, trusts, and self-managed superannuation funds. You will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing business activity statements, researching and consulting on tax issues, mentoring junior accountants, and providing assistance to managers and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for various entities
  • Conduct research and provide consultation on tax-related matters
  • Mentor junior accountants and support management teams
  • Supervise clients and manage client relationships
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • A proactive attitude, self-motivation, and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment
  • Proficient English oral and written communication skills (Chinese speaking preferred but not essential)
  • Strong Excel, MYOB, and Xero experience, including dealing with client software needs
  • Minimum 3 years' Australian Public Practice experience and technical competence
  • Completed or near-completed CA/CPA qualification
