About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team in ensuring the prompt and accurate processing of employee payments. This role involves addressing payroll-related inquiries efficiently and providing support to the Finance Manager on various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the team to complete timely and accurate payment of all pay runs for 3000 employees and workers compensation claims on a weekly and fortnightly basis.
- End-to-end payroll process management, terminations, and maintaining system integrity.
- Utilize time and attendance payroll module effectively.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed while maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in payroll or accounting, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Demonstrated knowledge in complaint handling, employee relations, WHS, terminations, workers compensation claims, policies, and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of industry Enterprise Agreements, awards, and NES.
- Excellent skills in MS Office products, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
