Retirement Manager Job Description

The Retirement Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the lifestyle of residents in a values-driven environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents by providing high-quality customer service on a daily basis, managing independent living accommodation, and coordinating village activities.

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual with a strong understanding of the retirement village sector and relevant legislation.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, provide in-depth orientation, and coordinate village activities.

You will also be responsible for facilitating delivery of on-site services and supporting access to facilities available at the village.

  • Maintain the village at a high standard of living for residents.
  • Undertake face-to-face sales and letting activities to achieve optimum occupancy levels.
  • Support village operations by managing client information systems.
  • Create a welcoming environment and develop strong relationships with residents.
About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous management experience in the retirement and/or aged care sector.
  • Demonstrated understanding of placement of aged care consumers and current reforms.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the retirement village sector, including relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated competencies in customer service, coordination of complex services, and building effective relationships.
  • Proven sales, negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
