We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced dental officer to join our team in the Eurobodalla Shire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to provide high-quality clinical care to patients and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based clinical care to patients, ensuring quality and contemporary approach to dental practice and patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate clinical records, including paper-based and electronic records.
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, standards, and practices, quality activities, and may participate in research activities as required.
  • Actively participate in approved oral health promotion and preventative programs and educate patients under your care to maintain good oral health.
  • Communicate with patients/carers ensuring consistent care and maximized health outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Dental qualification eligible for registration as a dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventative/population health approach to patient care.
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality and abide by the NSW Health Code of Conduct in line with prescribed NSW Health policies and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and sensitively with a wide range of individuals.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer systems including electronic patient records and digital imaging.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgment on routine matters.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances within the Health Service. Evidence of a current Class C drivers license.
