About the Position:

We are seeking an individual to take on the role of Workforce Planning Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for extracting and manipulating data, creating routine reporting outputs, and maintaining and improving existing queries and reports. Proficiency in intermediate Microsoft Excel features, including formulas and pivot tables, is essential. Importing Defence workforce data from the HR Data Warehouse using Cognos Report Studio and Microsoft Excel will also be a key responsibility.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to discuss workforce information and reports. You will contribute to providing integrated strategic level workforce information, analysis, guidance, and advice on the current and predicted future health of the ADF, APS, and combined workforces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract and manipulate data to create routine reporting outputs
  • Maintain and improve existing queries and reports
  • Import Defence workforce data from the HR Data Warehouse
  • Prepare responses to routine and ad-hoc requests for information
  • Engage with stakeholders to discuss workforce information and reports

The Workforce Analytics team provides integrated strategic level workforce information, analysis, guidance, and advice on the current and predicted future health of the ADF, APS, and combined workforces.
