Job Description

A casual teaching role has become available for a passionate educator with current nursing registration. The ideal candidate will have the ability to make a positive difference in the current and future of nursing education.

Responsibilities
  • Delivery and teaching of Nursing Program content using flexible learning modes to accommodate student needs, ensuring compliance with all regulatory frameworks.
  • Mentor students to understand and utilise the Codes and Standards of Professional Practice relating to Nursing.
  • Utilise learning technology effectively and embed in design and delivery.
  • Engage in student centred learning and teaching practices and maintaining an active and positive education experience.
  • Provide on-going assessment support for students to satisfactorily complete assessment tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in education/training and assessment.
  • Understanding of pedagogical and/or adult learning principles relevant to the student cohort being taught.
  • Masters qualification in nursing.
  • Current Division 1 Nurse Registration with AHPRA.
  • Sound understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in the discipline that is being taught.
