The Program Engagement Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering Soldier On's mission at community level, planning, coordinating, and executing engaging activities that strengthen social connections for veterans and families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and scheduling local social connection and peer activities
  • Building and publishing bookings while ensuring accurate participant data
  • Demonstrating strong interpersonal communication with diverse stakeholders, including Defence and ESOs

Requirements include experience in community engagement, program coordination, or events in a service environment, as well as excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A current driver's licence and ability to travel locally and interstate are also required.

About the Role

The successful applicant will have a broad understanding of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and experience working in a national not-for-profit organisation. They will be highly regarded if they possess knowledge of the ADF and veteran support services.

They will have experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in a not-for-profit environment.
