About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Arcare Aged Care as a Chef, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing delicious and nutritious meals.

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef, ensuring that they are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of our residents.

You will also be responsible for accommodating special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, and adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal Preparation: Prepare meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef.
  • Special Diets: Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
  • Adaptable, passionate, and willingness to learn.
  • Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
  • Friendly and effective communication abilities.
