Job Summary

The Department of General Medicine delivers comprehensive inpatient care to patients with complex and diverse medical needs.

This role involves managing a caseload of patients requiring ongoing hospital care, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled General Medicine Physician to join our team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with complex and diverse medical needs;
  2. Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes;
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes;
  4. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures;

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in General Medicine, with experience working in a busy inpatient environment;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality patient care;
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex medical data and make informed decisions;
  • Current registration with the relevant medical board and completion of any required continuing professional development (CPD) activities.
