Specialist Orthopaedic Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Orthopaedic Physician to fill this exciting opportunity in North Mackay, Queensland.
The Position:- Provide and supervise clinical duties within the Department of Orthopaedics, including inpatient care, pre- and post-operation, outpatient care, community care.
- Promote and participate in outreach to rural facilities in the Whitsunday area (Bowen and Proserpine).
- Participate in the after-hours on-call roster as required.
- Develop and deliver educational programs for medical students in the Orthopaedics Department, including developing a preceptor program for students undergoing their clinical immersions.
- Contribute actively in the education and training of interns and junior medical staff in Orthopaedics/ Surgical disciplines.

Qualifications and Requirements:- Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, or New Zealand.
