Key Responsibilities:
  1. HSE Leadership and Management:
  • Develop and implement an effective HSE management plan tailored to the project.

Compliance and Standards:
  • Maintain compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Oversee incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions implemented.
  • Ensure accurate records and documentation in line with legal and company standards.
Training and Awareness:
  • Design and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for project staff and contractors.
  • Guarantee that all employees and contractors understand and adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns.
Risk Management:
  • Identify project-specific HSE risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
  • Implement control measures for high-risk activities, including confined space work, heavy lifting, and working at height.
Environmental Stewardship:
  • Monitor and manage environmental impacts associated with the project.
  • Promote sustainable practices and ensure compliance with environmental permits and standards.

Requirements:
  1. Certifications: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualifications. Environmental management certifications (e.g., ISO 14001) are advantageous.

  3. Proven track record of implementing and managing HSE systems in a high-risk environment.
  4. Experience with incident investigation, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
