Agile Delivery Lead

Lime Recruitment is partnering with a large Queensland government department to find an experienced Agile Delivery Lead to join their team in the Brisbane CBD and work from home.
This role requires a strong leader who can provide guidance on delivery practices to achieve continuous quality delivery, focusing on customer value and maximizing flow. The ideal candidate will facilitate and champion the agile software development process, coaching and mentoring the delivery teams, identifying and eliminating impediments, and promoting the use of standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a delivery team through the delivery lifecycle, ensuring outcomes meet business and customer needs.
- Organise and facilitate agile activities and ceremonies, including daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, and backlog refinement sessions.
- Effectively manage user story estimation and forecasting.
- Champion and facilitate adoption of agile standards, tools, and best practices.
- Coach delivery team on established IT and corporate standards to minimize operational and reputational risk.
- Proactively identify and resolve impediments to team progress.
- Communicate with leaders across the organization to ensure transparency into delivery progress, challenges, and risks.
- Utilise team feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity and work with the team to continuously improve.
- Coach the team to improve collaboration and self-management, promoting healthy interactions within the team and with external stakeholders.
- Represent the team at broader planning and coordination sessions.
- Support the team in using agile planning and development tools.
- Contribute to the advancement and improvement of agile practices within the organization.
- Support the leadership team to ensure priority work is resourced appropriately.
- Provide consistent and effective delivery dashboards and reports.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Certification in agile delivery (highly desirable).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agile delivery.
- Minimum 2 years of iteration manager experience.
