About the Role
This position requires a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse who can provide leadership and supervision to Personal Care Workers, while also supporting Registered Nurses in their role to promote a harmonious team approach to the delivery of resident care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents with complex needs, such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management.
- Support nursing staff regarding assessment and care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes.
- Analyse risk, implement strategies and participate in clinical handover with Registered Nurses.
- Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with the Registered Nurses.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess current registration with AHPRA as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2), experience as an EEN in residential aged care/home care, and proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on-the-spot problem solving.
You will also need to demonstrate abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast-paced environment, with exemplary communication skills in a team and one-on-one interactions with all levels of care partners.
