Senior Energy Engineer/Consultant

Job Overview:

This is a dynamic role for an experienced Senior Energy Engineer/Consultant to lead the electrical design of renewable energy projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Renewable Energy, Science or similar, with proven experience in energy project feasibility and delivery.

Key competencies include being competent with relevant Australian Standards, familiar with project siting constraints, and having high-voltage distribution and substation design experience.

About this Role:

As a Senior Energy Engineer/Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the development of detailed designs for high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems, preparing and reviewing single line diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings.

You will perform system modelling, load flow studies, fault level analysis, and protection coordination.

Additionally, you will have a strong understanding of financial and economic analysis (NPV, IRR, LCOE) to support investment decisions.

You will participate in and present at meetings with clients and other consultants.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Renewable Energy, Science or similar
  • Proven experience in energy project feasibility and delivery
  • Competent with relevant Australian Standards
  • Familiar with project siting constraints
  • High-voltage distribution and substation design experience
