Operational Risk Senior Analyst/Manager

Our commodities and global markets group is dedicated to supporting our business on complex trading risks. We ensure that key operational risks are effectively managed and monitored, providing a robust foundation for our trading activities.

In-office attendance is required for this role 3-4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use your financial markets knowledge to provide expert advice on end-to-end risks and controls environment
  • Support and facilitate the continued improvement of processes, controls, and operational risk awareness across our businesses
  • Partner with trading desks and support groups to develop comprehensive knowledge of all processes to proactively manage operational risks

Responsibilities include providing advice on risk matters, assessing new products and initiatives, investigating incidents, and testing the effectiveness of controls.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of work experience in non-financial risk management, ideally with experience in financial markets
  • Previous experience in trading, compliance, and surveillance related to trading will also be considered
  • A continuous improvement mindset and ability to interpret and balance commercial issues within a risk framework
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with senior colleagues to drive, challenge, and influence, as well as lead discussions on emerging issues
