Job Title: Assistant Principal

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Assistant Principal to join our team at Hazel Glen College. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational direction of our school and driving student outcomes.

About the Role

The Assistant Principal will be responsible for leading and managing significant areas or functions within the school, including curriculum development, staff supervision, and student welfare. You will work closely with the Principal and other senior leaders to develop and implement school policies, procedures, and programs that promote academic excellence and student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the development of curriculum programs and policies that align with state educational frameworks and school strategic plans.
  • Supervise and support teaching staff to ensure high-quality instruction and student learning outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student engagement, motivation, and achievement.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and implement school policies, procedures, and programs that promote student welfare and well-being.
  • Contribute to the overall management of the school, including budgeting, resource allocation, and staff development.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.Experience in educational leadership, curriculum development, and staff supervision.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, students, and parents.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the overall management of the school.What We Offer
