Job Title: Emergency Medicine Specialist

The primary goal of the Advanced Trainee (AT) is to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized medical care to patients in critical care situations.
  • Supervise and participate in teaching junior medical professionals and students.
  • Pursue research opportunities as applicable.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold an MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • Be registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate category.
  • Complete at least four years of postgraduate training including 12 months of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine within an Australian public hospital or equivalent.
  • Be registered or eligible for registration with the Australian College of Emergency Medicine.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently under supervision, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Show capacity to effectively collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, understanding the roles of doctors and other healthcare team members.
  • Ability and willingness to work across facilities within the network to deliver patient care and participate in 24-hour shift work rosters.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities in a complex environment.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
