Occupational Therapist Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at HealthcareLink Support. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting clients across the lifespan, utilizing various funding models to achieve their physical goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide tailored therapeutic interventions to address physical and neurological conditions.
  • Equipment Prescription and Home Modifications: Prescribe and provide simple and complex equipment to enhance client independence, and conduct environmental assessments and home modifications to minimize the risk of falls and improve access.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Liaise with healthcare professionals, including GPs, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure care plans are formulated and monitored.
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of paediatric and adult clients across multiple funding streams, including NDIS, HCP, CHSP, and DVA.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree qualifications in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA Registration.
  • Experience: Experience completing Functional Capacity Assessments is desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, exceptional time management skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
