About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Childcare Assistant to join our team at Penrith City Council. As a Childcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment for children, supporting our educational leaders in coordinating activities and programs, and developing strong relationships with children, families, and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of programming tailored to children aged 0 to 12 years
  • Assist in maintaining records and documents related to children's attendance, behaviour, and developmental milestones
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and the broader community
  • Contribute to a team environment, upholding organisational values and prioritising tasks to achieve efficient outcomes
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
  • Working with Children Check (WWC)
  • Current First Aid Certificate with Asthma and Anaphylaxis and CPR (HLTAID004 / HLTA012)
  • Ability to follow safeguarding priorities
  • Team player, contributing and upholding organisational values
