About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Childcare Assistant to join our team at Penrith City Council. As a Childcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and nurturing environment for children aged 0 to 12 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our dedicated educational leaders in coordinating activities and programs to create a learning environment that fosters children's intellectual, social, and physical development.
  • Assist in implementing programming tailored to meet the needs of children, including Long Day Care, Vacation Care, and Before and After School Care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and the broader community.
  • Maintain accurate records and documents related to children's attendance, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
Requirements
  • Experience and passion for working with children, creating a stimulating and nurturing environment.
  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
  • Working with Children Check (WWC) and current First Aid Certificate with Asthma and Anaphylaxis and CPR (HLTAID004 / HLTA012).
  • Ability to follow safeguarding priorities and work under pressure, prioritizing tasks to achieve efficient outcomes.
  • Team player, contributing to and upholding organisational values.
