Specialist Family Counsellor

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Specialist Family Counsellors to join our team in delivering trauma-informed interventions to children and young people who have been affected by family and domestic violence.
The successful candidate will provide counselling, case management, and support services to clients, working alongside a dedicated team in our Perth or Cannington office.
The role is part-time, with a maximum term of 12 months. You'll work on short-term, strength-based responses including safety planning, goal-directed counselling, and support for healing.
- Counselling and Case Management: Provide trauma-informed interventions to children and young people impacted by FDV.
- Assessment and Support Planning: Conduct assessments and create tailored support plans in line with the client's needs.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Group Facilitation: Co-facilitate groups and support family functioning through targeted interventions.
You'll require a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Counselling, Childhood Development, or related field, as well as at least 3 years' experience providing child counselling and working with families experiencing complex needs.
The successful candidate will possess high-level interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and collaboratively, with a willingness and ability to provide outreach services as required.
