As a key member of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, you will play a vital role in driving innovative solutions to manage Victoria's environmental water entitlements. The successful candidate will lead the Planning and Delivery Team, overseeing planning, reporting, and accounting for the use of environmental water.
The Executive Manager will drive effective processes to prioritise the use, carryover, and trade of environmental water, working with program partners to consider opportunities to provide for social, recreational, and Aboriginal cultural values and uses of waterways.
Sector Expertise- Understanding of water entitlements and environmental flows in Victoria.
- Knowledge of environmental water delivery, including multi-jurisdictional arrangements in the southern Murray-Darling Basin.
This is an ongoing position that requires leadership experience, a collaborative mindset, and knowledge of environmental water management in Victoria. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will suit someone who can build strong relationships within the organisation and with partner organisations.
A key part of this role is participation and negotiations in state-wide and interjurisdictional forums. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the VEWH Commission to achieve environmental outcomes.
