About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to make a real difference in the field of environmental management.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation, as well as strong project management skills. They will be responsible for leading projects from planning to delivery, including coordination of internal resources, contractor management, budget management, and client correspondence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project management of contaminated land projects, including planning, execution of fieldwork, and coordination of internal resources.
- Assisting with the scope, design, and costing of contaminated land and groundwater investigations.
- Providing mentoring and training to junior professionals throughout the delivery of projects.
- Leading the preparation of technical reports, presenting information in a clear and logical manner, supported by appropriate interpretation of technical data.
- Undertaking fieldwork, including sampling of environmental media, hydrogeological investigations, and supervision of subcontractors conducting works such as drilling, excavation, or remediation activities.
Requirements:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Chemistry, or a related field.
- 5-10 years' experience in contaminated land assessment and/or environmental assessment and remediation.
- Strong project management, analytical, reporting, and verbal communication skills.
- A client service focus with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively in team environments.
- A valid/current driver's license.
