Job Title: STEAM Program Delivery Officer

Overview of the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to support the development and delivery of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) programs and activities that aim to enhance digital literacy and learning outcomes in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of STEAM programs and activities designed to engage diverse learners of all ages and promote positive digital literacy and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to identify opportunities for program extension and expansion, ensuring effective outreach and engagement with target audiences.
  • Assist in establishing schedules of ongoing library-based STEAM programs and related services for specific community groups, fostering partnerships and relationships as needed.

Requirements:

  • A demonstrated understanding of the STEAM disciplines, including mathematics, electronics, and technology.
  • Proven experience in teaching and engaging effectively with diverse learners across various age groups in the STEAM disciplines.
  • The ability to provide assistance and guidance on the use of tools and equipment commonly found in Maker Spaces.
  • Familiarity with the Symphony Library Management System and its applications.
  • Good general scientific knowledge, particularly in mathematics, electronics, and technology.
