The key duties of the position include
The Role
Within the Contract Management function, an APS 5 Product Delivery Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex contractual activities in support of service delivery. They are responsible for maintaining a well-developed understanding of relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
An APS 5 Product Delivery Officer will organize their workflow and make independent decisions related to their responsibilities. They will interpret and provide advice within the contract management function based on legislation, policy, and procedures. They will undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct reviews, and perform procedural and clerical support work to achieve results.
The officer will coordinate and contribute to team work aligned with a work plan, providing advice and assistance on task completion methods. They will set work priorities, manage workflows and performance, review, and develop quality work, and identify opportunities for on-the-job training within their unit.
Engagement and communication with stakeholders are essential to identify, respond, and advise on issues to meet work unit and Defence outcomes.
About our Team
The Directorate of Living Services (DLS), within the Estate Service Delivery (ESD) Branch, manages products including strategic engagement, service delivery planning, contract management, governance, and performance assurance.
Product Directors support the delivery of customer service outcomes by maximizing responsiveness and effectiveness, acting as the division's single national specialist for allocated products.
Products include Hospitality & Catering, Cleaning Services, Resource Recovery & Waste Management, Sport and Recreation, Housekeeping, Laundry and Dry-cleaning, Pest & Vermin Management, Transport Management, and Defence Mail Services across the Defence estate.
