Deputy Director Program Management Office

The Deputy Director Program Management Office will work closely with the Director PMO within a newly established directorate.

This role will be supported by a growing team supplemented by a small contractor team and will work with a considerable degree of independence to support effective and consistent program management practices in support of the organization.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and applying project control practices and procedures to projects and programs
  • Providing experienced and accurate project and program monitoring and controlling advice and solutions for risks and opportunities
  • Assessing and evaluating planning and scheduling activities against critical factors and recommending continuous improvement
  • Creating project and program briefs, reports and documentation using a range of tools and techniques
  • Liaising with project managers, team leads, and senior stakeholders to ensure operational alignment and address day to day challenges
  • Identifying risks, uncertainties and opportunities during the planning process and developing and implementing agreed recommendations that contribute to project outcomes
  • Building and sustaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes

The Henderson Consolidation Taskforce has been established to transition into a division, establishing two new branches within a major organization. This new Deputy Director PMO is one of a number of new positions that have been established in support of this consolidation.
