Job Description

A Finance Manager in the Risks and Controls Squad will work closely with the Chapter Lead Data as the data steward for general ledger data in the Group's data warehouse. The successful candidate will partner with stakeholders across all of the financial services, ensuring that the reporting data requirements are met and ingested from strategic platforms.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the broader finance team to understand how to better support the transition off legacy data.
  • Assess and classify new and existing data assets to determine appropriate data classification levels.
  • Review and approve access requests, maintaining strict access control protocols.
  • Manage and enforce governance policies for financial services data roles, ensuring compliance with data governance standards.
  • Conduct and oversee User Access Reviews (UARs) to ensure proper access management and compliance with data governance policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with general ledger systems and reporting skills e.g. Flash, journal postings, preparation of month end packs and financial control.
  • Detail-oriented and experienced with documenting using tools like Confluence.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Comfortable user of SQL for querying and manipulating large data sets.
  • High-level familiarity with data warehouses and data leaks.
  • Have demonstrable curiosity and willingness to continuously learn about both business and technology.
  • Strong business acumen with analytical mindset.
  • Experience with analytics tool such as Tableau / Alteryx / PowerBI or similar.
  • Strong understanding of financial services, accounting background.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
