As a Health and Accident Underwriter, you will play a pivotal role in our team, bringing your expertise to the table to drive success.

We are looking for an individual with strong analytical skills and attention to detail to join our dynamic team. Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating new business opportunities, renewal requests, and endorsement changes within our WA region.

Your key objectives will be:

  • Evaluate new business, renewal business, and endorsement requests based on underwriting guidelines to ensure high-quality decision-making.
  • Achieve retention targets for renewals both on a premium and policy count basis.
  • Maintain accurate file documentation and prepare referrals to senior underwriters as needed.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with producers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • A solid understanding of the Accident & Health product suite.
  • Negotiation and marketing skills to build professional relationships with brokers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry and Chubb's position in the market.
