Job Opportunity

A dynamic Intermediate Accountant is sought to join a large team in Hornsby. This position would suit a qualified professional with proven taxation, leadership, portfolio management, and legislative experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts.
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements and state tax returns, such as payroll tax and land tax.
  • Prepare financial statements and income tax returns to the review stage, including the preparation of detailed working papers.
  • Researching and consulting on a range of tax issues and drafting tax advice for senior managers and partners.
  • Liaising with relevant authorities, clients, and other professionals to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in accounting from an Australian institution.
  • Completed or working towards a CA/CPA qualification.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in an Australian accounting firm.
  • Proficiency in using MYOB AE, Xero, and Excel.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation fundamentals.
