About the Role

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will:

  • Establish a stimulating, child-centred and positive learning environment aligned with our values.
  • Prioritize the pastoral care and welfare of all children in our care.
  • Develop strong relationships with children and help them explore and develop their faith.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies inspired by Reggio Emilia and the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Identify individual learning needs and create differentiated experiences for effective engagement.
  • Assess and document children's learning and development in line with policies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through various channels.

Essential Criteria

A personal commitment to our vision, mission and values that underpin the delivery of a Christian-based education is essential to this role. You will need:

  • A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
  • Registration (or eligibility) with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.
  • Experience in an Early Learning Centre, ideally within a school context.
  • A strong understanding of faith-based education and nurturing a child's faith journey.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn the Reggio Emilia approach.
  • A passion for creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
