Greenpeace Australia Pacific is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join its Board of Directors. As a Non-Executive Director, you will play a key role in shaping the organisation's strategic direction and ensuring it remains true to its mission.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing guidance on setting the direction of Greenpeace
  • Monitoring programmes and activities to ensure alignment with the mission
  • Ensuring executive performance by setting objectives and reviewing progress
  • Ensuring adequate resources are available to carry out the mission
  • Complying with governance standards

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and social context of the Pacific region. They should also be able to commit sufficient time to effectively support the Board's work (approximately 15-20 hours per month).

Preferred qualifications include experience in environmental or social movements, relevant governance expertise, and strong networks that can provide value to the Board.
