About the Opportunity

This Local Council in Western Sydney has opened an opportunity for an Environmental Health Officer to join their team. Employees collaborate to deliver high-quality work and assist each other with projects.

In this position, you will support the Senior Environmental Health Officer with compliance and regulations. As an Environmental Health Officer, you will work within the Environmental Health Team to assist with health-related inspections.

Duties

  • Carry out inspections at various locations
  • Respond to inquiries and provide safety advice to stakeholders
  • Coordinate and issue Penalty Infringement Notices when necessary
  • Audit DA's to ensure requirements of regulations

Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualification in Environmental Health or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in Local Councils is preferred
  • Knowledge of Environmental Health practices
  • Experience with Environmental Assessment of DA's
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
