Electrical Engineering Leadership Opportunity

This senior electrical engineer role requires strategic development and delivery of electrical engineering standards in our processing plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the application of Australian Electrical safety standards at all sites, ensuring compliance with AS/NZS 3000:2018.
  • Implement a strategy for electrical and automation maintenance across our operating sites, incorporating regulatory inspections and best practices.
  • Support the delivery of capex programs, focusing on electrical safety standards and interlocking for refurbishment of equipment and installation of new assets.
  • Develop capex plans and coordinate electrical and automation aspects of their delivery with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide high-level fault finding and analytics, technical support, and direction in case of electrical or control issues.
  • Optimise electrical and automation expenditure by advising on local R & M spending and ensuring alignment with our equipment and technical standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience in electrical/automation management roles (>10 years) in manufacturing industries, preferably recycling operations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple sites and diverse teams.
  • Track record of delivering capability/process improvement and setting electrical maintenance standards for an organisation.
  • Strong analytical, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to implementing compliant electrical standards and high levels of safe working practices.
