Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Nutrition and Dietetics Trainee. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting while pursuing formal full-time or part-time tertiary studies.
About the Role:
- Perform a range of clinical support activities and on-the-job skills development while engaged in formal full-time or part-time tertiary studies necessary to acquire the relevant entry-level qualification for employment as a Health Practitioner in Queensland.
- Contribute to the nutrition and dietetic service delivery model in the provision of effective patient care within Metro South Hospital and Health Service, working under the guidance and practice supervision of an allied health professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- \(l item>\\[li]Perform defined range of clinical assessment and treatment tasks as allocated by the Allied Health professional and work under their supervision.
Provide safe, patient-centered, and compassionate care considering each patient's psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical care.
Communicate effectively with all members of the interprofessional team using negotiation and conflict resolution as required. Use effective communication skills to contribute to consumer care and progress, including relevant clinical documentation.
Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies, and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
