Senior Clinical Leader in Mental Health Care

As a senior clinical leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mental health care in South Australia. You will provide independent statutory leadership and influence policy, standards, and service delivery to drive improvement, uphold rights, and foster innovation through partnerships with stakeholders.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced psychiatrist to lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee treatment of patients, and provide high-level policy advice that informs best practice in mental health care.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of contemporary mental health issues, proven expertise in policy development, service improvement, and stakeholder engagement, combined with strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills, as well as clinical credibility and a collaborative leadership style.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead at a senior level in complex environments
- Develop and implement policies that improve mental health service delivery
- Provide strategic guidance on mental health issues and promote evidence-based practices
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to drive collaboration and innovation
The ideal candidate will be a Fellow or eligible for Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, demonstrating exceptional leadership and expertise in mental health care. They will have a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health issues and be able to develop and implement effective solutions to improve patient outcomes.
