About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manufacturing Manager to join our Advanced Manufacturing team at BAE Systems Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for tracking and reporting status against production schedules, costs, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the primary point of contact for project escalation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and communicate project status against contracted delivery and cost performance.
  • Identify potential timing threats and collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop strategies to mitigate their impact.
  • Work closely with production staff to ensure adequate resources and equipment are available for forecasted loads.
  • Collaborate with procurement and scheduling teams to ensure timely delivery of purchased parts.
  • Drive the closure of open action items across engineering, procurement, staffing, and resources.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes.
Requirements
  • Prior project management or planning experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and escalate tasks is essential.
  • Ability to develop suitable process documentation is considered desirable.
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a Baseline clearance is required.
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations is also required.
  • A background in cost reporting and Earned Value Management (EVM) would be advantageous.
