**Revenue Collection Specialist Position**

We are seeking a skilled Revenue Collection Specialist to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

The successful candidate will oversee and audit pathology billing practices to maximise revenue while ensuring full compliance with Medicare, Ministry of Health, and Commonwealth policies. They will lead revenue improvement projects, monitor billing system processes, and collaborate with laboratory and IT staff to address discrepancies and enhance billing accuracy within the Laboratory Information System (LIS).

This role requires strong analytical skills to investigate and resolve issues for stakeholders, effective communication skills to deal and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders, and sound working knowledge of diagnostic billing legislation and requirements relating to revenue generation within the Medicare system and private health insurers.

The successful candidate will have the ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, and practices that lead to sustainable improvements in productivity and effectiveness, as well as the ability to prioritise work schedules to meet targets and deadlines.

Additionally, they will be able to motivate, influence, and coordinate relevant staff to achieve organisational objectives.
