We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the reputation of our business in Queensland through the delivery of impactful internal and external communication activities.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional to join our ANZ Communications function. This role is flexible with a mixture of site and work from home days. Your main location will be at Wulkuraka and include other site locations such as Milton, Bowen Hills and the Gold Coast.

  1. Under the direction of the Communications Manager, manage internal and external communications specifically for our sites and projects in Queensland;
  2. Collaborate with the Project Director for QNGR and leaders in Queensland to provide strategic counsel and advice to enable effective communications outcomes;
  3. Develop and execute Communications plans including relationships with customer communications teams to promote our reputation and build trust for us with our key customer groups in Queensland;
  4. Support local management in engaging employees around site priorities reinforcing the sense of belonging to us, understanding our strategy and building confidence in our delivery.

You will have:

- Excellent communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence across all levels; Strong background in internal communications including the planning and execution of activities and the ability to deliver impactful communications solutions to a diverse workforce

- Experience of external communications including the development of content on owned social media channels across web, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram;

- The ability to counsel and advise senior leaders on how to reach audiences;

- A willingness to travel across sites as required with an appetite for a high degree of variety across rolling stock, maintenance and signalling programs;

- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or Business preferred but not essential.
