We are seeking ambitious professionals to join our team as Network Security Administrators, playing a crucial role in the administration of several Gateway environments.

This 24x7 shift is responsible for maintaining the security perimeter defense of networks connecting these Gateway environments. Your role will involve proactive monitoring, service, and incident response to ensure gateway functionality.

This opportunity is ideal for Service Desk/Incident management candidates looking to take their next step towards Network Security and Cyber roles. You must hold NV1 or NV2 AGSVA security clearance and be willing to work a 24x7 shift roster with an amazing team.

About You
  • Perform root cause analysis and triage network/computer issues for clients, servers, and network equipment.
  • Work with both Windows and Linux/UNIX environments.
  • Maintain the configuration, documentation, and procedures of the Gateway environments. Proactively maintain effective working relationships with peer group and key internal stakeholders and manage key external stakeholders relevant to the achievement of business objectives, where relevant.
  • Plan own workload to achieve deliverables in required timeframes.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the work team through positive and productive personal behaviours.
  • Provide advice and demonstrate initiative in an area of functional expertise, where appropriate.
  • Display a high standard of personal and professional integrity in all business dealings and develop own capability for current and future roles.

In terms of requirements, NV1 or NV2 security clearance is essential. You should have proven ability and knowledge of working in an IT environment, experience and knowledge using diverse operating systems, strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on network/computer issues on clients, servers, and network equipment.

You may also find it desirable to have understanding of commands and concepts along with the ability to setup, configure, and maintain servers, demonstrated experience and/or knowledge in communication/networking, and programming using scripting languages. Experience in a gateway environment including mail and web applications would also be beneficial. Lastly, you must be willing to work a 24x7 shift roster.

Please note that due to the inherent requirements of the role, candidates must be Australian Citizens and hold a Australian Federal Government Security Clearance. The role will or will likely involve access to controlled technology, and must satisfy additional restrictions and requirements as a consequence of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and the Export Administration Regulations. Salary: $120,000-$150,000 AUD per annum.
