About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing construction activities in accordance with project schedules to ensure timely completion.

The ideal candidate will have experience in civil rail construction, possess a trade qualification relevant to construction activities, and have a sound working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements.

In addition to these qualifications, the successful candidate will be able to lead, direct, and manage groups of diverse employees, ensuring a safe and environmentally acceptable working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective construction plans and schedules to meet production targets.
  • Monitor and review the performance of plant, labor, and subcontractors to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on construction progress, including hours worked, materials used, and equipment operated.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate project progress, address concerns, and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and standards throughout the construction process.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant experience in civil rail construction, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Trade qualification relevant to construction activities, such as engineering or construction management.
  • Sound working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to lead, direct, and manage groups of diverse employees, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
