Key Role: Finance Operations Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished finance professional to join our team as a Finance Operations Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the analysis and reconciliation of Departmental financial data, ensuring compliance with applicable Accounting Standards, policies, and guidelines.

This position involves reconciling complex financial data, including month-end reconciliations, year-end working papers, and general ledger journals. You will also assist with cash forecasting, efficient cash management, and online banking services.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the analysis and reconciliation of Departmental financial data
  • Maintaining compliance with applicable Accounting Standards, policies, and guidelines
  • Reconciling complex financial data, including month-end reconciliations, year-end working papers, and general ledger journals
  • Assisting with cash forecasting, efficient cash management, and online banking services

As a Finance Operations Specialist, you will demonstrate a high level of proficiency and expertise in completing a diverse range of processes to support the delivery of high-quality, efficient cash management and banking services.

This role requires a good understanding of accounting standards to assist in formulating and improving departmental accounting policy and processes.

Accountabilities
  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of complex account reconciliations, annual account working papers, financial reports, briefings, and other ad hoc reports and correspondence
  • Provide high-level accounting support for the administration and reconciliation of corporate financial, subsidiary, banking, and cash management systems
  • Manage transactions using departmental financial systems, maintain financial systems that support delivery of best-practice, contemporary financial management, and services
