Operating Theatre Specialist

This role involves working in a fast-paced theatre complex, providing exceptional patient-centred care under current surgical specialties.
- Patient transport to/from the operating theatre is a key responsibility of this role.
- Preparing patients for surgery under medical staff and registered nurses' direction is another crucial task.
In order to excel in this position, you will need to bring demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge including:
- A Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technical Support or equivalent qualification is required.
- At least thirty-six (36) months' experience as a Theatre Technician with prior Ophthalmology exposure is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up the operating theatre with specialty/surgery-specific equipment and ensuring it's functioning correctly.
- Cleaning and maintenance of equipment according to Monash Health and manufacturers' guidelines.
Requirements:
- Ability to work with high autonomy and accountability.
- Basic computer skills, including Outlook and Word.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
