Job Description:
The 3 West Day Procedure Unit is a fast-paced environment that provides complex care through various specialties, including endoscopy, surgical procedures, anaesthetic and recovery. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Operating Theatre Support Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient assistance to clinical and theatre staff
- Support transportation services for patients, equipment, blood, specimens, records and supplies
- Work across three procedure rooms: elective and emergency Endoscopy and Day surgery, including Ophthalmology, General, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Urology surgery
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Certificate III - Operating Theatre Support or working towards
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Dedication to providing excellent customer service and patient safety
