Job Summary

This position provides future vision and strategies that align with Business Unit objectives, including manpower, budgets, cost reduction, and customer service. The incumbent will direct staffing, development, and performance management programs for all facilities management staff, managing, motivating, and developing the management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans and strategies for infrastructure and processes needed to run facilities in accordance with operational standards and regulatory procedures.
  • Maintain communications and relationships with customers, local community, service providers, and utilities.
  • Direct facility services functions, including office services, maintenance, janitorial/grounds, utilities management, facilities design and construction, future planning for growth, and safety/environmental services.
  • Establish and monitor general policies and guidelines for initiatives under their control to ensure desired results are achieved.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience desired.
  • Knowledge of facilities management processes, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques.
  • Ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
  • Knowledge of decision-making processes and associated tools and techniques.
  • Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Knowledge of relationship management techniques.
  • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques.
  • Ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
