Lead Strategic Environmental Assessment and Approvals

We're seeking an experienced professional to lead our environmental assessment and approvals efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex environmental approvals under various frameworks, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Develop strategic advice on environmental risks, constraints, and pathways, driving informed decision-making.
  • Liaise with state and federal regulators, stakeholders, and team members, fostering effective collaboration.
  • Provide technical expertise in referrals, impact assessments, EMPs, and reports, delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Mentor junior staff and support team development, promoting growth and excellence.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience navigating state and federal approvals processes, a deep understanding of Victorian environmental legislation and regulatory bodies, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a drive to lead, innovate, and deliver best-practice outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading environmental assessments and approvals projects.
  • Expertise in Victorian environmental legislation and regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
