The Role: Financial AdministratorOur team seeks an experienced and proactive Financial Administrator to oversee the Centre's financial operations. This role will involve key responsibilities such as managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, preparing monthly financial reports, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with ATO and regulatory requirements.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and receivable, including childcare fees and supplier payments.
- Process payroll, ensure compliance with relevant awards and entitlements, and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Reconcile bank statements, maintain general ledger entries, and manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor and control expenses, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including ATO, CCS (Child Care Subsidy), and other relevant laws and regulations.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies as required, maintaining open communication and resolving any issues promptly.
- Qualifications:
- Diploma or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance/accounting role, preferably in early childhood education.
- Familiarity with accounting software, such as Xero or MYOB, and proficiency in using these tools effectively.
- Strong working knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
