Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Engineering Leader to spearhead engineering activities in Darwin. This role requires strong technical expertise and project management skills, enabling the successful delivery of engineering projects while ensuring operational continuity and compliance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead site-based engineering activities supporting operations and minor works
  • Oversee the scoping, design review, and delivery of complex engineering projects
  • Manage subcontractor engagement, project timelines, and quality outcomes
  • Conduct on-site investigations and coordinate technical problem-solving initiatives
  • Contribute to strategic planning, performance tracking, and reporting
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors
  • Serve as the primary technical lead on-site, promoting operational excellence and regulatory compliance
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary education in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, civil, electrical or similar)
  • Proven experience in engineering delivery, with a track record of leadership/project management success
  • Familiarity with working in infrastructure, Defence, oil & gas, or complex asset environments
  • Excellent project management, contractor management, and stakeholder skills
  • Able to work autonomously in a site-based role and lead initiatives effectively
  • Australian citizenship (for security clearance purposes)
  • Will relocate to Darwin, with relocation support available
