Job Description

  • Coordinate, plan and execute the loading and unloading of trains within terminals and sidings.
  • Ensure compliance with safe-working and operational procedures.
  • Manage freight and operational documentation.
  • Prioritise the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and colleagues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts and reach stackers to move containers and load/unload trains as required.
  • Use terminal equipment such as scissor lifts and boom lifts.
  • Forward-plan terminal service requirements for scheduled trains.
  • Conduct train and equipment inspections and ensure all road and rail transit documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Update the Transport Management System and manage the processing of customer trucks at the gate.
  • Induct customers and contractors entering the terminal.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment, sharing ideas to improve resource planning and operational efficiency.

About You:

  • Hold a forklift and Reach Stacker licence or have relevant experience (training provided).
  • Be proactive and willing to learn about our operations.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Display high attention to detail, particularly when handling safety and quality documentation.
  • Meet the required rail medical standard and pass a driver history check.
