Teaching Role

A teaching position is available at a school in New South Wales, Australia. The job involves working with students who require special education.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of students with Autism, Behaviour Difficulties and Emotion Disturbance.

They must also demonstrate capacity to work collaboratively to develop Individual Education Plans and/or Personalised Learning and Support Plans for students with disabilities.

Requirements
  • Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism, Behaviour Difficulties and Emotion Disturbance.
  • Willingness to teach 7–10 subjects across the curriculum.
  • Demonstrated positive classroom practice and behaviour management skills.

The successful candidate must have an unconditional full approval to teach. If they do not hold this approval, they must commence the application process at the same time as applying for the teaching opportunity.
