Aquatic Centre Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the aquatic centre in accordance with Royal Lifesaving guidelines and Council's WHS policies. This includes supervising staff on shift, implementing operational systems and procedures, and allocating resources to meet venue requirements.
Additional responsibilities include leading emergency response activities, ensuring on-shift maintenance and cleaning is carried out with minimal disruption to users, and reporting regularly to the Aquatic Centre Manager on plant room operations and service delivery.
- Supervise aquatic centre staff on shift, providing guidance on safe operations and tasks.
- Implement operational systems and procedures and allocate resources to meet venue requirements, while maintaining high standards of service delivery, venue presentation, safety and security.
- Lead emergency response activities and plans in line with the Centre's Emergency Management response plans.
The ideal candidate will hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate Level 2, Royal Life Saving Lifeguard Licence, and Certificate III in Aquatics (SIS30110) or equivalent. They will also have demonstrated integrity and honesty, high-quality customer service, and high level communication skills.
Prior experience with public pool operations and a commitment to Work Health and Safety are essential. The ability to handle complex pool/aquatic issues and basic computer skills, including experience with Windows and Microsoft Office, are also required.
BenefitsSuccessful applicants will receive a competitive salary and ongoing learning and development opportunities. Permanent, part-time positions are available, working 20 hours per week (Monday - Wednesday).
